| Breed
77 spent late 1999 and early 2000 working with us here at ORG, they'd always
been part of the ORG Records family back in the 90's, regularly playing
Organ gigs, featuring in the pages of Organ and such. Their last release
for ORG was a track from a demo session that you'll find on ORGAN RADIO
12, it's called "Fly" and it's an indication as to where Breed were heading
at the start of 2000 when we went our seperate ways - it was only a taster
though, a demo version. Breed 77 were certainly adding melodic grit to
their old school metal sound, a kind of Alice In Chains for Pantera fans
with a hint of Sabbath and that X factor that's fired on by the most unsecret
of weapons - the powerful voice of frontman Paul Isola.
The band released an EP on ORG in late 1999, it's called "Vol 1". There's also a couple of other releases on ORG - that track on Organ Radio 12 and a track on the Organ Radio 6 album called "Downer" - which in turn originally came from the b-side of their debut single - the single is "The Message", a three track affair released on Household Name Records - a fine debut released in early 1998. 1999 and early 2000 was busy in terms of touring, Breed 77 hit the road with My Ruin, One Minute Silence and GNA as well as playing loads of their own shows and of course being invited to open for Black Sabbath right at the end of an adventurous '99 The band moved on to INFERNAL RECORDS in 2000 and kind of got lost in a swamp of music business crap... gone forever? No, the band re-emerged and signed with ALBERT PRODUCTIONS - The label that first brought us AC/DC and one of the greatest bands of all time Rose Tattoo. Breed 77 releases are started to flow again - webiste links are down there, the band are now regularly touring and all over the world, they've escaped the inferno - they've got a couple of albums out and they're doing well GET TO THE WEBSITE LINKS DOWN THERE FOR THE LATEST NEWS - We did our bit in the 90's, can't say we're big fans of their musical output or direction in this century, good luck to them though, they deserve it all, they put the hours in back there, they paid their dues while others just gave up... |
