Thing of the Day
She Makes War plays the Stinging Netil this Sunday, meanwhile, her new video and lots of street art...
This news just came in from She Makes War, which
is rather handy because we were just about to mention that She Makes
War will be playing the Stinging
Netil Art Fair this coming Sunday at 2pm. She has a new
video, shot around the art-covered streets of East London, her rather
fine debut album is about to be re-released with a bit more of a
fanfare than the original underground release, and things seem to be
going rather well for
She Makes War…
Here what she’s up to in her own words…
To celebrate the official national re-release of my debut album "Disarm" and its entry in to the Mercury Music Prize I bring you the brand new promo video and microsite for "Slow Puncture":
Join me on a two-wheeled treasure hunt through East London celebrating the vibrant street art around Old Street, Brick Lane and Great Eastern Street, and featuring cameo appearances from Greenpeace's anti-VW stormtroopers. Please watch, comment and share - the hashtag on Twitter is #slowpuncturevideo, and the microsite includes behind the scenes video footage, stills, photos and a map of the graffiti locations we used so you can do your very own treasure hunt!
I'm also launching a remix competition this week in conjunction with Soundcloud - upload your tracks to the She Makes War Remix Group and your work could appear on the "Disarm: Remixed" charity album due for release in the autumn.
Here’s the video:
