MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM - SCROLL DOWN FOR LATEST PLAYLIST
Sean - ghetto blaster, mixed media on canvas
THE OTHER ROCKSHOW and THE ORGAN SHOW @ RESONANCE 104.4fm with MARINA ORGAN one week and SEAN the next. 9.00pm every Sunday night...

RESONANCE BROADCASTS ALL OVER LONDON ON 104.4FM OR WORLDWIDE VIA THE WEB

The Other Rock Show is presented by Marina O, The Other Rock Show is about exploring 'other' time signatures within structures of rock and filtering out the conventions of the 4/4 time easy option in favour of something a little more challenging.

Meanwhile on the ORGAN RADIO SHOW Sean O will be bringing you an eclectic mix of diverse left-field things from all points in between and beyond - the best new releases and demos that are circulating around the underground fanzine channels and landing here in the Organ office, along with news of forthcoming events and general alternative music news and goings on in and around London.

Expect an hour of challenging alternative music each week, the kind you don’t often get on ‘normal’ music radio shows and stations, expect special guests, expect who knows what... expect to find links and details so you can explore all that you hear on www.organart.com after each show

Hello! London based giant multi-legged disco-prog ensemble CHROME HOOF have delivered a magnificent album, 'Crush Depth' out this week, here's two tracks including the ten-minute epic they opened with when they supported Magma last year. They play an album launch gig in London on June 4th and are touring the UK right now - www.myspace.com/chromehoof
...Also playing on Friday June 4th in London at the Fiddler's Elbow Camden (great little venue kind of round the back of the Barfly, just along from Kentish Town West overground station) are fairly new band LOW TRAMON whose pedigree goes back to the superb and missed Optimist Club, hence the quality of their fine new single Rongorongo which is available to download from www.doubledgescissor.co.cc
Funny how you get used to band names, entirely forgetting the sense behind  Smashing Pumpkins or Cheese Cake Truck or The Stranglers and treating them as a collection of syllables. Anyway, CHILD ABUSE are from New York, and have just released their second album, Cut And Run, it's great. Best not to go Googling for that one, here's a link:  www.myspace.com/childabuse . They've almost certainly played the odd gig with fellow NYers EXTRA LIFE who are currently on tour in Europe and play London on 10th June at Corsica Studios; 'Voluptuous Life' is from their recent album "Made Flesh", 'This Time' is from "Secular Works" (Organ album of the year)  www.extralifeblood.com or www.l-o-a-f.com  Also from New York, KAYO DOT have a magnificent new album, titled "Coyote", out on Hydra Head. www.kayodot.net
Here's a slice of genius from the first GAY AGAINST YOU album, 'Muscle Milk'; the most recent album from this Glasgow duo is 'Righteous Signals, Sour Dudes' - both unique and brilliant. www.adaadat.com
UNTIED STATES are from Atlanta, Georgia: this was from their fine late 2009 album 'Instant Everything, Constant Nothing' out on Distile Records www.distilerecords.com or www.myspace.com/untiedstates
UK band THESE MONSTERS are 4-piece from Leeds, this is from their recent album 'Call Me Dragon' out on Brew Records as CD and Function as vinyl -  www.myspace.com/thesemonsters

WHAT IS RESONANCE FM?
Resonance104.4fm is London's first radio art station. Its brief? To provide a radical alternative to the universal formulae of mainstream broadcasting. It features programmes made by musicians, artists and critics who represent the diversity of London's arts scene,

Resonance104.4fm is bringing a multitude of experimental sound, new music, radio art and interaction to the capital's airwaves. Resonance104.4fm broadcasts from the heart of London and is simultaneously streamed on the web at www.resonancefm.com where you can also check out our full programme listings.  Resonance104.4fm is the only station of its kind in the UK, providing access radio for London's arts community.

Imagine a radio station like no other. A radio station that makes public those artworks that have no place in traditional broadcasting. A radio station that is an archive of the new, the undiscovered, the forgotten, the impossible. That is an invisible gallery, a virtual arts centre whose location is at once local, global and timeless. And that is itself a work of art. Imagine a radio station that responds rapidly to new initiatives, has time to draw breath and reflect. A laboratory for experimentation, that by virtue of its uniqueness brings into being a new audience of listeners and creators. All this and more,  Resonance104.4fm aims to make London's airwaves available to the widest possible range of practitioners of contemporary art.
